Hi Geoff and all mission commanders!

Unfortunately I have deleted the Tacview file from the last running. If someone has a copy please send it to me.

As I remember, all flights formed up in an orbit. Then the command was given to commence the river run, so there was not a time on target as such. Each squadron should announce that they are in orbit. What we need is someone to take on the mission command role to release the squadrons. Any takers?

It looks like the Shilka turns up after you have exited. It will not be a concern to 97 Sqn.

Minimum height for the river run is 500ft.

Andrew,
Here's my TacView:-
River Run Height is 500ftAGL max. Good.
No Shilka. Good.

We didn't have a TOT for dropping bombs. We did have a TOT for joining up, if I remember correctly.

Thanks for the Tacview Geoff.

It looks like we need 40 -45 mins from T/O to form up in orbit.

As usual now the server will start at 19.30 pm = 01:30z. T/O will be around 02:00z and RV will be 02:40 the ingress about 02:45.

Leave in the correct order.

892 @ 2'000
11F @ 3'000
1f @ 4'000
3F @ 5'000
97 @ 6'000

Here's a rough timeline, you may need to use tanker to get back to base:

Andrew,
Perfect. That's all I need to make a start on detailed planning.
Maybe I will spend more time on calculating our "Bingo".

Very well presented.

Andrew

The 3(F) flights are fine as is - no changes required.

Can we confirm the pressure setting for altimeters to determine our altitudes in the stack please? I seem to recall that if we use 2992, the lower sqns will be orbiting at extremely low level as the river is 1200 ft ASL and the surrounding hills are over 2000 ft high! Whilst it is not directly an issue for 3(F) flying in the middle of the sky at 5000 ft, it will be if the guys below us fly higher to avoid hitting the edge of the sky!!

We currently have 4 + 1 possible signed up. I will refine numbers as we get nearer the day.

Good point Sapper.
I'll brief the pressure setting as 2857.

This was set using an F/A 18 set to start from ground hot.

Thanks, Geoff.

I'm afraid this mission may be a little sparse.

Only 3f and 97 are flying. I'll have a look at the triggers so the mission runs correctly for both squadrons.

Andrew,
Only 2 squadrons. It's that time of year, and tomorrow is the longest day. We will enjoy ourselves, and thanks for checking the triggers.

Look on the bright side. As it was a rerun, you didn't need to spend lots of hours on mission design.

When I tested your miz, all our targets were obscured with labels. I assume all labels will be set to none.
