05/07/22 - Raid on Tartus - Postponed
I'm afraid I have struggled to get on the PC to finish the mission, I have had a bout of sciatica and can't sit for a long period of time. If requested we can run an old one.
This leads me to the Tuesday group mission slot. I have some questions for the group.
Is there still a need for the group Tuesday mission?
Should the Tuesday mission be paused for the summer?
Should the frequency be changed? Once a month?

Hi Andrew, I hope you get well soon, sciatica is a pain (literaly)
My opinion is that a good, well planed monthly mission is enough.
Once a month, trainings with all squad integration (wich also isn't easy to plan) and every other week squad specific.
So in one month we would have 2 squad specific trainings ( maybe 1 tactical and the other for general procedures)
1 joint training, for ex using NTTR already made target range (or other) I know that most of people don't have NTTR, but using the 476th platform with all target ranges description and restrictions woul save a lot of work.
1 joint mission.

Re: 05/07/22 - Raid on Tartus - Postponed Tuesday mission going forward
Personally I prefer fortnightly missions as currently I am very busy and tbh mission nights are the only thing that forces me to make time to fly. I would have very little stick time with 1 mission a month!

Andrew, I agree that fortnightly missions set a good rhythm. However, we do need more mission builders to share the load. I am willing to help but my knowledge is scant, to say the least. Do you think there is scope to train a few more people to build missions using all the knowledge and experience you have gained thus far? Sorry for the “thus’ - I must have been feeling a little poetic!

Many thanks Sapper for all of your support over the last couple of years, thus keeping the Tuesday slot going.
I'd be very happy to give anyone a hand.
We have a SOP for how the mission should be published and some general guidelines to follow.
With regards to scripts and triggers, the key here is to keep it as simple as possible, a good mission (which I rarely write) isn't delivered by triggers or anything fancy, I've found it's the planning and engagement, placing the enemy and setting the weather.
Let me know if you want a chat, but sometimes I struggle for time, unless you're up early. But I can help via message as well.
I would really appreciate the help.

I am also happy to start writing missions, which I will discuss some ideas very soon. When I can dispatch a couple of RL projects!
