Harrier vs Mirage

Post by Matt »

So flying a Falkland's style mission Mike has created for 1(F) Squadron, my pair found ourselves against a pair of Mirage (in which this damage took place)....well we dispatched both enemy jets then provided CAS to the lads at Goose Green and killed 5 enemy helicopters on the route back to HMS Hermes.

Needless to say trimming it out was a challenge

Thats impressive. That birds a bitch to trim out after you've fired a mav off of the wing.

Very much so, she hates being unbalanced......it was very twitchy to say the least even after the initial panic trim once Chris preformed a BDA and i found out the extent of the issue!

I also opted for a rolling vertical landing as a posed to the conventional vertical landing to the Hermes due to the twitchy nature of the damage.

Nice flying.
I'm looking forward to the Falklands map. Not sure why it's taking so long. Be cool to do joint ops harrier /huey.

Andrew, stick a message to Mike (Oz555) from 1(F) Squadron he was talking about getting your Hueys involved in these missions so we can have joint Harrier and huey missions now.
