Screenshots with Shaders MOD

Post by Alien »

Shaders MOD , I have TrackIR but for those who have VR this view from your pit will probably look alot better,
Unfortunately they go directly into your DCS Root folder, the shader files are not Ovgme.

DCS VR Shaders MOD for 2.5.6

2.5 flat shadow removal MOD

2.5.6 Shader effects 1.1

It's mainly for VR users but the dev said that Trackir etc users should benefit from it, and it does look totally different without these mods

Ah to give more frame rate. It will look different though as you are getting no shadows on the terrain. Great for fps but not as graphically good as having shadows on.

Not True Cav. I have all of these installed and the shaders mod removes only flat shadows from the buildings and trees but leaves the terrain Mountains and hills shadows intact. Looks 10x better than standard and runs so much better. These shaders also improve the water effects, sand storm colours and terrain details. Also allows you to have shadows running at full so the cockpit looks fantastic in VR now.

How does taking the shadows from buildings and trees look better?

Just noticed that in addition to flat shadow removal yoiu also have a shader effects mod, that will be what makes it look better.

Do you have links to the mods so I can try them?
