Hi all,
I was digging through some of my older paperwork form my time in Afghanistan and I found a few conversion pages that you might find useful.
First one is a chart showing distance covered at certain airspeeds.
The second is a Mils to Degree's chart and Feet to Metres
Hope these prove useful to some of you guys, maybe for flight planning if nothing else.
Matt

Wait till they start getting told about mils measurement with fingers and knuckles for target indication, that'll be fun to watch that meltdown!

I'm fine with mils. I have an engineering degree so covered the use of radians many moons ago!
As for military use I assume the fingers and knuckles are used due to average finger withs etc being a certain mil width when held out in front of you?

The knuckles are for scraping along the ground for those not lucky enough to have some transport. Fingers fit into various vacant orifices (that's holes to the infantrymen among us)!
