Re: Operation Tordenskjold
Quick update;
After last night's test Paul and I are hoping that we can run the Op for the first time on Sunday 25th Feb in the afternoon if enough of you can make that?
The reason for this is that the mission requires a lot of preparation, especially in briefing. It will also be a lot of work for pilots, working in pairs, receiving/finding alloted targets, switching roles between pairs, communicating with the various assetts and RTB/turnround/return to frontline. I am working on printable briefing cards that will be essential for those taking part and will post them here as soon as I can. The maps above will be very useful, if you can print them also.
Filling the roles is the next pressing item and we would like to incorporate the new Flight organisation as follows if possible:
HOG Flt
Lead (1-3) Neil Willis
Wingman (1-2) Jonathan Foy
Wingman (1-4) Ken Cleary
Wingman David H Evans
BOAR Flt
Lead (2-1) Alan (Flyco)
2IC (2-3) Paul (Dragon) Ratcliffe
Wingman (2-2) Richard Rodgers
Wingman (2-4) Geordie Zoutman
FAC Airbourne
Lead (3-1) Ade (Roon) Rhoney
Wingman Martin
Command and Control
Paul Gillon (Ground based overall commander)
JTAC
Matt (Ground based in AO)
CAP (optional depending numbers)
Fighter 1 George (M2000)
Fighter 2
SAR Huey/JTAC transport
Muttley
SEAD AV8B
SEAD 1 Andy
SEAD 2
ATC local/departure/rearm
Theo
Any slots without a name by them are open to volunteers and any abscences can also be covered by volunteers from other flights not allocated. We want to involve all who want to fly and can create new slots to accommodate those without a role in the current theme. Please PM me with your availability and confirm your role so that I can put lists and briefings together in good time. Thanks for your help everyone.

Re: Operation Tordenskjold
Hi Ade, do you mean Sunday the 25th or Tuesday 27th?
If it is the 25th I can't make it, but if Tues 27th then count me in.

Re: Operation Tordenskjold
Depending on dates;
- Sunday would be problamatic
- Tuesday not problem, I'll be there.
Side note, I lack the experience to be very effective and still very much the rookie when it comes to weapon deployment and systeems.
But you've got to start somewhere

Re: Operation Tordenskjold
Sorry, had a finger fail on the date - it is indeed the 25th and has been edited....ta for pointing that out. If it isn't going to get us enough personnel to run it on the Sunday, we will revise to a day more convenient. We were hoping to include more of the guys who can't make the Tuesday and Thursday missions but hey-ho, life is never that straight forward. Let's see how many we can get and go from there.
We will be running this mission on more than one occassion, so we will get everybody in somehow!! Hate leaving people out...

Re: Operation Tordenskjold
I should be available. Can fly A-10C, Huey, or, if you are desperate, a Harrier. Also happy to do a ground slot if that would be better.
Wing Commander Alan Johnson - RAFAir UK
