Chaps,
I've just joined with Muff and it was great to talk to some of you chaps last night.
In the last few months I've been building up an online server that I've been running 24*7 using an old PC.
On it I've put circa 8 missions on it, in rotation. Each running 3-5 hours.
If you guys are OK with it, I'd like to add it under the umbrella of the RAF Air Uk banner.
I haven't tested it with what I'd consider to be lots of players, but it's happily run with circa 10 people on it.
On it, I've setup "playgrounds" and "missions".
The "playgrounds" are setup with pretty much all aircraft in game available, cold starts, full map visibility such that players can practice tactics.
The "missions" have hot starts for all aircraft, and map view is friendly only.
A key objective was to setup less commonly available scenarios, as most online server missions are daytime only, good weather and on the Caucasus or Gulf maps.
As such, the scenarios include:
- Playgrounds on NTTR, and Normandy
- Poor weather/night time conditions on Caucasus and the Gulf
- Missions including:
- Normandy, WW2 B17 bomber escort/intercept, play as either side
- Caucasus cold war strike, with weapons restricted to 1980s level, i.e. no A2G guided missiles or bombs
- NTTR, as inspired by the movie Red Dawn. Fend of a Soviet invasion of the US
Can you please advise if you're happy for me to put it up under the RAF banner and whether you'd like it to be password protected, or open to all.

Re: Secondary RAF server
I've now set my server running under the name of RAF Air UK - Server 2.
It's password protected with the usual password and is set for being able to host upto 30 players. I have no idea if my secondary PC will handle that.
At present, I have 9 scenarios running in rotation, each lasting 3-5 hours.
Note that most have custom kneeboards with (hopefully) useful additional information.
Please do advise if you'd like to see any changes.

Re: Secondary RAF server
Hi, I just had a look for your server, but could not find it.
Have you got an IP, so I can try a direct connect via IP please.
Sometimes I can't see servers via their name, they don't appear in my server list.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Secondary RAF server
Well I connected to it quickly, but had to do it via Connect by IP, never saw it in the server list at all.
Didn't stop on long, it was dark, don't like the dark. but at least it did connect, connection seemed stable.

Re: Secondary RAF server
Not a massive fan of night flying myself. I like to see the world I'm flying in rather than cockpit lights and blackness.
