Now we are shifting some of our operations to the boat, we will need to expand our staff appointments to include an additional key role. That role is of course the Carrier Air Group's chief Landing Signals Officer. This appointment will be responsible for conducting safe, effective landing operations, and will cover al aspects of training his assistants, training pilots in safe recovery procedures, carrier operations, and any other aspects of training only associated with that tiny thing that floats in the sea that some comedian decided an aircraft could actually land on.
Pilot Officer George Dennington has shown not only that he is the best among us at catching a 3 wire, but also stepped up to the plate and worked as an LSO for recent carrier training sessions. I have asked the community if there were any objections or suggestions, and having heard nothing to the contrary, I am recommending we promote George to the rank of Flight Lieutenant, appoint him as CAG Paddles (combined with Air Boss) and also give him a seat on the steering committee.
It will also give us a great excuse to give him a new callsign "Paddles".
So, may I be the first to congratulate George - or should I now say Paddles - on his promotion and appointment.

Re: CAG Paddles
A sound idea - it will give us all an excuse for our poor approaches!
"It wasn't my fault, Sir, it was that bloody paddles, giving me the wrong corrections" - I like it!
