DFC award to Christpher ' Funky ' Bagnall

On behalf of the serving members of XI Sqdn (F14 Tomcat ) it gives me great pleasure to award Pilot Officer Christopher ' Funky ' Bagnall the Distinguished Flying Cross for his actions on Op First Punch 15th Dec 2020 in the Middle East ( Syria ) his citation reads as follows;

Pilot Officer . Christopher Bagnall , RAF XI Sqdn F14 Tomcat. This officer displayed great courage, coolness and superb flying skill in an air to air engagement over Syrian territory on the 15th Dec 2020. His lead aircraft had earlier been shot down but with dogged determination and against overwhelming odds he remained determined to press home his attack and in doing so accounted for the destruction of 10 enemy aircraft ( Syrian Mig 29’s ) These losses were all confirmed by the Syrian Air Force Command.
