Gentlemen,
It has been brought to my attention that big things have been happening with the rotary section. Congratulations are in order.
Pilot Officer Neal Baker, Flight Lieutenant Andrew Cummings, Wing Commander John "Scooby" Burton and Group Captain Neil Willis have all completed their training for Senior UH1H Pilot.
The time involved to get to this stage and the various disciplines that are required to pass the course mean that a rank of Flight Lieutenant is the base rank of anyone achieving this Senior UH1H Pilot rating. Therefore, it is my pleasure to announce that Pilot Officer Neal Baker is duly promoted to Flight Lieutenant. Please change your signatures accordingly.
These four pilots have shown great determination and skill whilst training with the UH1H. Well done to you all.
One final word, and one that I am sure all the above guys will echo, is my grateful thanks to Squadron Leader Chris Simmons for training the guys so well that they are all now making great strides in the rotary world. Keep up the good work.
