Hi all, I'm going to make a Redair mission that will involve a fairly ground attack orientated set up with some light enemy (blue) fighters to deal with.
Centered more around Helos and troop support based in Caucasus.
Obviously wouldn't run it on a Tuedsay but could do it another day at some point just for fun.
Who would like to participate and in whatever role.

Attack Helo role:
Ground attack F/W:
Sead F/W:
CAP F/W:
Maybe Transport/Cargo role in Hercules?:
Red Air mission / campaign
Re: Red Air mission / campaign
Not feeling too optimistic about my helo skills, but I wouldn't mind bringing out the ol' Su-25 if available? as F/W Ground attack.

Re: Red Air mission / campaign
1st Mission is made.
Mi8 Squadron supported by KA50 / Mi-24 will be conducting a troop insertion under cover of darkness. Waypoints are created to allow route cards for Mi8 however your "escort" KA50 will guide you through the valleys to your drop zone.
This will be a tense low level op, once over the border radio silence will be maintained with the exception of the Shark flight directing the Troop Transport at valley intersections.
Flight time approx 2 hours (at a very sedate 80 knots average, so will not be that long)
Full mission story / briefing to follow

Re: Red Air mission / campaign
Are you guys OK to do this on a Monday night? Only other option would be Friday to not interfere with other training / missions etc?

Preude:
Tensions have been steadily rising in the region of South Ossetia after Pro Russian Seperatists have began clashing with Georgian forces in the area. The Kremlin has issues warnings to both Georgia and Nato that it will not hesitate to retaliate if Russian civilians are targeted by Georgian forces. Reports have emerged that atrocities against civilians in the region have taken place. The Kremlin will now take action. Initial objective is to move Russian Spetnaz forces into the area to secure key towns before Armor and troops move in through the Caucuses
