1(F) Monthly Update

First monthly update for 1(F)
Training
So far 1(F) has 14 pilots on its roster and can regularly field 6 on a given operation, which after a long while as the smaller of RAF Airs squadron is a real testament to the hard work of our pilots and instructors (Basher, Chocks and Hendo to name a few) at present we have 10 of which are combat ready to fly operational sorties with RAF Air UK.

Our training continues on all aspects of flying our prestigious bird from HMS Hermes/RAF Akrotiti where we deployed earlier in the year by way of a very detailed 2 week/ 4 flying night transition (all done in game) leaving from Kobuleti meeting up with the Hermes and her fleet and conducting shipborne training during her voyage until we departed her and landed at Cyprus....those flights were well received by our pilots too!

Operations
1(F) Remain to be at the forefront of strike operations at RAF Air UK along side the glorious 97 Squadron for ground pounding ability and reliability, we have conducted every RAF Air group mission without missing a single flight in the last few months always getting at least 4 jets in the air.

Joint Operations
1(F) have also been working behind the scenes with 41(f) conducting operations in Syria destabilising hostile forces using the great pilots of 41(f) to assist in our mission goal by providing us fighter sweeps and SEAD strikes prior to our run in on target which as far as I have been told are greatly enjoyed by the pilots of both 41(f) and 1(F) squadrons and we are continuing to run joint operations every few weeks to continue our progress on the ground. Most recently (31/05/22) conducting a strike against a chemical warhead storage facility with the use of 41(f)'s SEAD and sweep teams to get is safely in and out of the target area while opposed by red air defence and fighter units.

1(F) are also stand ready to assist any other squadron that gives us the call to cooperate in any joint operations!

June Monthly Update For 1(F)

Training
1(F) Squadron has completed 7 training sessions during June and has conducted 3 assessment flight of new members!

Training has been progressing on steadily with two pilots being FAC qualified by Hendo (our main QWI) well done to Hades and Jay. We have been carrying on training programs for our newer pilots getting them up to scratch in all aspects from circuits to AAR and they are doing great all round so we are looking to get a few more combat ready pilots in the coming days!

Since the release of the Falklands free assets 1(F) Squadron has been testing the new HMS Invincible in the hope to transition the squadrons to her as our main carrier therefore removing the need to have HMS Hermes as a required RAF AIR UK mod, lucky for us Chocks our resident RN aircraft handler and all round naval SME has been instrumental in getting us information in Invincible class carrier operations from his many contacts in the RN world, and he has also been able to provide critical information to RAZBAM to help fix a few deck issues on the HMS Invincible we have in game!

Welcome to our new pilots:

Sharkey
Bootsaay
Lomac

Operations
1(F) Has conducted mission with RAF Air Uk most notably Operation Salamander during this period where they managed to secure a beachhead for landing AAV-7A1's of the USMC

Joint Operations
Once again 1(F) has been working closely with 41(f) conducting joint training on 41(f)'s own training server to look in to each others procedures to better understand how each other operate moving forward!

We also have a few new missions in the pipeline for our joint missions, along with a upcoming joint multi-mission campaign being built by myself and Yogi to get the squadrons working hard towards the common goals.

Basher is also looking to become our newest QWI with the help of Hendo, a role in which he will be great at for sure!

Welcome to our newest members:
Eggball
Dave
Wonky
Chef
Wiseman
