Just saw in USAF magazine that A-10C 1st flight was in Jan 2005.
Shall we fly the A-10A? ... joking

You may have seen that Andrew has relented. All weapons are now in play. I suggest that we go in with Mavs to take out the Shilka and then use CBUs, GBUs and Laser rockets for the remainder. If we stay as 4, we should probably take at least 4 Mavs per ac, to allow for misses and (dare I say it) casualties.-

That's good to hear, Alan. Although I test flew it the other day, and I was down to 5000ft before the TGP could see through the mirk. Not good for LGB's.

Paul.

If possible I would like to go:
4x AGM 45D
2× CBU 105
2x (or 1)CBU 97
2x AIM 9M
No rockets.

Paul, if you are content with the mission, can I ask you to forward it to Andrew. I am still working in the bowels of my PC at the moment.

That’s the one. Thanks Paul. Weapons can be loaded a/r on the nights. We have 40 minutes before T/O.

Really sorry guy's, left it as long as I could, but I've not been feeling to clever today(I was hoping to feel better by now), So I'm not going to make it tonight.

Hope the flight goes well.

Well I got home, and my PC did not break down. All I have to do now is sort out all the ancillary and other controls. And, of course, re-learn how to fly and operate the A-10.

Not an easy sortie, made far less easy by my failure to produce a decent brief as I had promised. I got about 4-6 kills (still not got Tacview installed yet), and I think everyone else got about the same.

Thanks for your patience.

With my PC now behaving itself quite well (most of the time!), I have put some time into re-looking at the Faux Fulda, which, it has been proposed, we should re-fly next week.

If every one is happy, I will refine my proposal and put it up on this thread, together with decent brief. I would then be happy to fly it with someone before this next week-end.

Paul, let me know if you are content with this.
